Please join us for an engaging, informative conversation on the state of film in Central New York and the role of social media in engaging audiences, led by moderator Christopher Malone (@Chris___Malone) and involving three accomplished members of the local film community:
• James Domroe (@james_domroe), owner of the production company 325 Productions and writer/director/producer of short low-budget films;
• Jeff Meyer (@brewandview315), director of the Salt City Horror Festival/content programmer for the Brew & View 35mm Film and Video Series; and
• Owen Shapiro (@SYRFILM), the Shaffer Professor of Film in the Department of Transmedia in SU’s College of Visual and Performing Arts/co-founder and artistic director of the Syracuse International Film Festival/award-winning experimental documentary filmmaker.
The program is free, along with complimentary popcorn and bottled water courtesy of The Palace Theatre (@palacesyracuse). Plus, the concession stand will be open for food purchases before, during and after the event.
